So on Friday,I had a biopsy done on my lovely breast....NO WORRIES for all of you nitwits,Vincent had the same thing done to his back, and he was fine, and nobody worried,so I am not really understanding why all of my friends and Vincent are freaking out....It aint a big deal!...The hospital (one of the best in the country by the way) found something they did not like during my routine yearly mammogram, and since they had nothing to compare it to (my last mammogram was done at a crap hospital 2 years ago) the decided the safest thing to do,was a biopsy.
Now the biopsy lasted about an hour, and I do not wish this procedure on my worst enemies (well, maybe the supervisors at work....but thats another story....)but I survived....I will not go into details, because just thinking about it,makes me want to throw up,google it if you want to!
Now for the worst part.....me being the good employee, when I found out when the surgery was to be done (not my choice, but the surgeons...) I went to see a supervisor at work,to make sure all my paperwork was in order....and his EXACT words where: "IF you call on sick for this surgery, you will be fired,as the company you work for (no names mentioned here...) does not consider getting a biopsy as being sick...." my mouth dropped to the floor....so a woman can not get a biopsy done to see whether her breast is cancerous, without getting fired.....
So long story short,I spoke to someone higher up,and they advised me to put in for "family leave" which does cover biopsies, which my doctor and I did,but apparently the people at headquarters keep finding something wrong with the paperwork, and I have only 2 weeks (now 9days) to get the paperwork right to their specifications.......so here we go AGAIN.......
Now for all of you female nitwits out there...go get a mammogram done pronto!
