Fragment

A couple of weeks ago,I went to have a mri done,to see if the fragment in my back had diminished any,and if not,my new surgeon here in Nola wanted to do surgery to remove it.So today I went to see the surgeon,to discuss the results of the mri......and he told me that the fragment had disappeared completely!
The pain I am feeling is just some residue left over from the fragment, and I have some arthritis in my back...but nothing to be worried about....
So Lola is a spring chicken again! Hooray!

MARDI GRAS 2012

On Tuesday morning, the official day of Mardi Gras,we got up at 630am,had breakfast at a bar in the Marigny, then wandered off to Mimi's in the Marigny and caught up with the St.Ann parade. We then went to the Zulu parade, saw some of our guests, had lunch and then walked through Bourbon Street.
All in all,a great first Mardi Gras!
Check out the photos and videos below!

MY 46TH BIRTHDAY!

Today is my birthday...and the guests (a wonderful retired couple from Canada with their son) came for breakfast with a bottle of champagne and a cupcake with a candle....

How lucky am I to be doing what Vincent and I have always dreamed of...living in Nola and running a B&B...Life is getting better with age!

MARDI GRAS 2012

Today is the first of the parades, and it starts of with a bang! The KREWE DE VIEUX parade is tonight in the Marigny and French Quarter...It is a rather raunchy, sex filled parade, full of penises and tits...
Both Vincent and I served breakfast to our guest in full Mardi Gras wear.....
I shall take more photos tonight from the parade.

Algiers Point

On our day off,we decided to venture out to Algiers Point, just across the mighty Mississippi.
You take a free ferry across, and voila...you are there....We walked around, had lunch, and came right back to Nola....We both felt that Algiers Point was full of snooty, unfriendly peeps, and it had no soul.....
